Quinn Jabs At New Jersey’s Christie Over Jobs

February 4, 2011

SPRINGFIELD  –  Illinois Governor Pat Quinn says he doesn't want to kick another governor in the shins, but Quinn is taking a jab at New Jersey's Chris Christie.

The top man in New Jersey is in Illinois this weekend to try and lure businesses away.  But Quinn spent his Friday morning at the Mitsubishi plant in downstate Normal to talk-up a new SUV model that will save jobs and could bring jobs to the state.

Quinn says there is also a lot of other investment in Illinois.  Christie's office says they don't feel the need to respond to Quinn.

The Mitsubishi jobs are not new, but the announcement will stop to job cutting at the plant.  Workers will soon start building the Outlander SUV, it's currently made in Japan.
