CHICAGO–Six men and six women were charged with bringing one of Illinois’ most infamous political scandals to a close, but the Rod Blagojevich saga will continue on to next week and beyond, as the jury deadlocked on all but one charge of corruption against the ex-Illinois governor.

CHICAGO — Jurors remain buried in deliberations on Monday in the corruption trial of former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, but they are maintaining contact with the judge — an indication of a jury looking to avoid deadlock.
